During my studies International Economics and Business Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam I wrote for the magazine of the economics faculty. I often chose sports business and economics as focal point of my articles. When I finished my studies I realised that I missed it. So in 2013 I launched Score and Change.
‘Score’ referring to score lines and goals and ‘Change’ to the large sums of money that circulate in sports, often seen as just change. Since our kick-off, the sports market has only continued to grow and innovate. One of the best examples of the change in size is the inflation of transfer sums in football. Yet it is not only the amount of money circulating. More than anything else it is the shift in how we consume sports.
Scoreandchange.com has mirrored that change in a way. The blog has become a website, a new look was introduced and partners – both media and advertising – came on to the field. With visitor numbers increasing year on year, we are determined to keep growing and expanding our reach in the sports business community.
